SPRING 2013

Postby quinners23 » September 3rd, 2012, 12:26 am

Hello all! Just figured I would start a post for those of us who applied to the Spring 2013 program. I'm super iffy/nervous about getting in as I'm sure there's others out there :) I had a B which KILLED me and not the best TEAS score so I most likely won't get in, but there's always next semester to try again!

PROGRAM: ASN (REALLY DON'T WANT TO DO PN)
SCHOOL: VALPO
PREREQS: 3 A'S/1 B
TEAS: 84% Individual...I forgot to make a copy of my results before handing them in so I don't know the breakdown

How about the rest of my nursing homies?

You can go to www.atitesting.com and log in to see your results. That is how you print out a copy of your assessment also. I am applying to Lawrence:)

I also applied to Valpo and Gary, but I applied to the PN program. My scores were sooooooooooooooo low, that I didn't even bother to apply for the ASN. I don't really expect to get in either, but I figured, It really couldn't hurt to try. I only got a 72% on the TEAS and I have a C in Psychology. I took it twice and both times I recieved a C, so I'm stuck with it. I will wait anyway... Best wishes to you with your application.

Well there's always the transition from PN to ASN! I was too stubborn to apply to the PN program, and I greatly regret it since I'm sure I won't get into ASN. Who knows though. If you get accepted, you think you'll go for Valpo or GAry? I'll probably go for Valpo if I'm lucky enough. I wish you the best of luck as well!

JB- unfortuately they block us from accessing the results afterwards. I think I've heard of some schools allowing students which yours probably does, lucky duck.

Good Luck to you all! I am a nursing major as well, but I just started. This is my first semester. I will not be ready to apply until Fall 2014 to the nursing program. I got all A's so far for English-093, Math-015, and Ivyt-120. Spring 2013 I have English-111, Math-035, and Psychology 101. I plan on taking my two APHY classes my second year. I cannot take summer classes because I have a child and I am a single parent.
Did anyone ever have Carolyn Rader for English-111? I have heard the worst horror stories about her teaching, but I am trying to stay positive until I meet her myself.

Ummm I don't think taking two anatomy classes in the same semester is a good idea because it may stress you out depending on what you can handle and all.. Good luck in anything you do. I am applying for the fall of 2013 so i wish you luck as well. message me if you need advice because I have took alot of classes so far and willing to help others down my journey as well.. god bless.

NO you misunderstand. One at a time. One semester APHY 101 and the next semester APHY 102. LOL Believe me I have read how hard one APHY class is. I am "not" that crazy! Thanks! and god bless to you as well!

Sorry to hijack your thread but I just wanted to comment that you will be safe at Gary. I am starting my 2nd semester as a PN student and have never felt unsafe. You have day classes and the parking lots are patrolled. Also security walks around as well. Don't let it deter you from your goals. Good luck to you all and God Bless!
