English 111 Books

Postby stillacowboysfan » May 24th, 2012, 5:36 pm

My English 111 class list 2 required books-----Prentice Hall Gde for College Writers (CUSTOM)(IVY TECH)
2nd edition 2012
New and used

Prentice Hall Guide for College Writers (CafeScribe Format)
9th edition 2011
Digital

Do I need both of these? Sorry, I'm sure this is a stupid question! I've emailed the teacher with no repsonse.

No. One is print and the other is accessed via a computer.

Thanks. That is what I thought, but since I'm new I wanted to be sure.

I just saw multiple copies of this book at Half Price books in Castleton (with the Ivy Tech binding and everything). Check your ISBNs and see if you can get it cheaply.

I got all my books for English 111 and the one book I need for Medical Terminology for $134 via BetterWorldBooks.com and textbooksrus.com. To purchase them new from Follet's (online) would have cost me $270. Just search for the books by the ISBNs, and make sure you're getting the edition your class calls for.

Thanks, I did find the books I needed. They are so much cheaper elsewhere. I was just confused as to why they said 2 books required when they were the same one, just one in digital? Some things just don't make sense and it seems I get more help here on the boards then I do from any teacher or advisor. Crazy! Thanks again!

Yes, I feel you the books are the same , but they will send you an access code for the online class.
