| There were several people in my class that worked the first year but they didn't make very good grades. The class schedule is very intense. We had lab 2 days a week and then classes 4 days a week the first semester. Clinicals didn't start until the middle of October and they were most of the clinicals were during the day but I had night clinicals. I can't remember how many days that we had clinicals each week. And then there was the studying that had to been done. Thankfully there were no papers to write but we did have to do Health Histories and they are very time consuming, like 10 or 12 hours to complete. I suggest that you look up the nursing classes that are being offered at your campus to see the schedule. Go to where you would register to look them up and you can see the classes. I didn't work the whole first year and I used my loans to pay my bills. I started working as a Student Nurse Tech at my hospital this past May so I am working some this semester. But I had a nursing instructor advise us all to not work because those who do tend to get lower grades or not graduate at all. |

| You won't receive a set schedule until you are accepted, there is no way to guess it right now. This probably isn't the best place to pose you question. Try utilizing a nursing discussion board. There are plenty where you can talk to other Ivy Tech students. |
